Getting Here
GETTING TO THE GLENORCHY LAKE HOUSE
The 45-minute drive from Queenstown to Glenorchy is one of the top scenic drives in the world. The 45-kilometre gently winding road hugs the shores of Lake Wakatipu along the foot of the Richardson Mountain range. Many car advertisements have been filmed on this stretch of road, and there are several areas for you to pull over and safely enjoy the spectacular view.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
- In Queenstown, follow Shotover Street as it becomes Beach Street and ultimately The Esplanade.
- Continue straight through the roundabout and follow the signs to Glenorchy.
- After 45 kilometres of jaw-dropping scenery, you will arrive in Glenorchy. Turn left at the round about and drive to the end of Mull Street.
- Glenorchy Lake House is located just behind The Trading Post, the last property on the right hand side by the lake.
